Moisture assessment

Contra-indications

  • Heavy exuding wounds

Advantages

Hypertonic and hypotonic solutions cleanse the wound with osmosis. In combination with both hyper- and hypotonic solutions, super-oxidized components are added to enhance membrane permeability. A woven gauze is soaked in hypertonic or hypotonic solution and folded out to cover the wound bed.  The gauze adheres and mechanical debridement is obtained when removing the gauze.
