Cheek Case 1 Two BCC’s on the cheek

Before and after

Step 1: Pre operative drawing

A 5mm margin is drawn around the two basocellular carcinomas on the left cheek.

Step 2: Excision 1

Excision of the first tumor in a 5 mm margin including some subdermal fat tissue.

Step 3: Deep closure 1

The first tumor is closed directly in two layers. Absorbable inverted dermal sutures is used in the dermis.

Step 4: Superficial closure 1

Direct closing with single nylon sutures in the skin.

Step 5: Excision 2

The tumors are marked in the superior end for orientation of the specimen.

Step 6: Closure 2

Direct closing in two layers. Absorbable inverted dermal sutures is used in the dermis and nylon single sutures in the skin.

Step 7: Post operative photo

Micropore is applied to avoid stretching
