Z
Z-plasty | The technique/flap is used to extend, relieve and conceal a scar and ensure that the scar has a direction most appropriate for the skin’s natural lines. The Z comes from the pattern where two equal triangular transposition flaps form a Z. Decompression of the scar occurs by the flaps shifting space. The most appropriate angle for the flap is around 60 degrees. Link: https://plastsurgeon.com/facial-flaps/z-plasty/ |
