V
V-Y-flap | Local flap. V-shaped skin incision is made. The skin is dragged towards the widest point of the V and retains its blood supply in-depth. When the flap and donor site/”tail” is sutured, a Y is formed. V-Y flaps are used to close defects and, like Z-plasty, can be used to extend and relieve scarring.
