40 years old male with basal cell carcinoma on the right nasal alae.

Step 1: Pre operative drawing
The tumor is marked and a surgical margin of 4 mm is drawn and marked in the anterior part (3 o’clock).

Step 2: Excision
The tumor is excised and the defect reconstructed in two steps using a nasolabial flap.

- In step 1 the flap keeps the blood supply.

Step 5: Follow-up surgery
4 weeks after step one, the flap tissue has made collateral blood supply. Step 2 is then initiated

Step 6: Excision
In step 2 the flap is divided and the donor site is closed.

The final result
